Casa Franciscana

Casa Franciscana Outreach is a nonprofit organization serving marginalized communities in Guaymas, Mexico. Its mission is to illuminate pathways from poverty toward greater opportunity and well-being, inspired by Franciscan values and supported by donations and volunteer service. The organization serves around 10,000 people across four of Guaymas’s poorest neighborhoods, with programs designed to address practical needs and encourage community growth.

Its ministries include meals and food distribution for adults, children, and migrant farmworkers; education support through tutoring, mentoring, scholarships, laptops, and school supplies; and care and sustainability programs such as home gardens, crisis housing, hygiene stations, and housing repairs. Healthcare services include general and dental clinics, diabetes education and management, pharmacy and laboratory testing, medical supplies, missions, and home visits.

Casa Franciscana also offers service pilgrimages to Guaymas, held twice a year, where participants work alongside local programs and learn about the mission. The organization welcomes donations and service opportunities to help sustain its outreach and expand support for the community.
