CASCA is a Lisbon-based architecture and design practice, operating as a service mark of QLJ – Arquitectos, Lda. The studio works on projects that rethink how buildings use space, light and existing features, with a portfolio spanning residential, hospitality, cultural and civic settings. Its work includes apartment renovations, house extensions, guesthouses, housing, creative workspaces and public facilities.

CASCA’s projects often balance preservation with practical change. Examples include restoring distinctive rooms and high ceilings, adapting attics, opening up interiors, and adding space without sacrificing gardens. The practice also explores materials and architectural elements such as Portuguese tiles, timber, polycarbonate panels and concrete grids to shape atmosphere and bring daylight into interiors. Beyond homes, its portfolio includes creative hubs, learning and water-related facilities, and an art-focused project.
