Cascade Creative Recovery

Cascade Creative Recovery is a peer-led community supporting adults aged 18 and over who are recovering from alcohol or drug misuse. Based at the Brighthelm Centre in Brighton, the organisation draws on the lived experience of its staff, trustees and volunteers to help people build connection, wellbeing and more fulfilling lives. Many have experienced challenges including homelessness, isolation and family difficulties, and use their experience to encourage others in a non-judgemental, welcoming setting.

For more than a decade, Cascade has offered accessible, drop-in creative, wellbeing and support groups. Activities include Cuppa Connections, open mic events, art, creative writing, a recovery choir, peer support and a men’s group. The organisation also provides recovery coaching and shares links to other recovery services and resources. Its creative programme includes music, performance and drama, creating opportunities for participants to express themselves and connect with others.

Groups meet at the Brighthelm Centre, where visitors can also access free Wi-Fi, parking, coffee and herbal teas.
