About Smiling Coast Agro Processing Company
Smiling Coast Agro Processing Company is a cashew processing startup located in The Gambia, West Africa. Our mission is to grow, enhance, and mature the country's cashew industry. We prioritize fairness, ethics, and honesty in our business practices.
We work directly with local farmers, establishing relationships based on trust and collaboration. Our commitment extends beyond our operations, as we strive to be an active and supportive member of the community. Our state-of-the-art, fully automated facility will have the capacity to process 5,000 metric tons of cashew nuts annually.
We adhere to the rigorous BRC Global Standard Food Safety Issue 8, enabling us to introduce our products worldwide and expand opportunities for innovation and development, benefiting both our farmers and new markets. Scheduled to commence in 2023, our processing operation will create local employment for 80 individuals in safe and rewarding jobs. We prioritize sustainability as our facility will be 100% solar and biomass powered.
In addition to sourcing from local farmers, we have our own 42. 5-hectare organic cashew farmland in The Gambia, with trees already producing crop and more expected to yield by 2024. Contact us at info@scapc.
