Caspolada

Caspolada al Chiaro di Luna is a winter outdoor event based in Vezza d’Oglio, in Italy’s Brescia province, centered on a nighttime snowshoe walk through the surrounding mountain landscape. Promoted as Italy’s most attended night snowshoe outing, it combines accessible physical activity with the atmosphere of moonlight, torches and fires. The route starts in the town’s historic center and leads into nearby pine forests. The walk is presented as suitable for people of different ages and fitness levels, with no special athletic preparation required.

The event began in 2001 and had welcomed more than 72,500 participants by 2025, excluding the editions not held in 2021 and 2022. Its 23rd edition in 2025 drew 2,500 registrants, while the attendance record is 4,503, set in 2015. The 24th edition was scheduled for February 28, 2026.
