Children’s Aid Society (CAS) is a nonprofit organization serving children and families across York, Adams, and Franklin counties in Pennsylvania. Founded in 1913, it began as an outreach ministry supporting children in need and has grown into a community resource focused on safety, care, and stronger family relationships. Its vision is for all children to be safe and feel loved, and its mission is to help children and families build healthier lives.

CAS offers early learning childcare, emergency respite childcare, child-centered art therapy, family advocacy, family education, and parent support groups. Additional services include the Lehman Crisis Nursery, a 24-hour caregiver hotline, a youth home, truancy prevention through Youth Collaboration for Attendance, and practical assistance through God’s Closet, which provides children’s clothing, toys, and diapers. The organization also offers the Incredible Years Parenting Program and family support services.

Through its centers in New Oxford, York, and Chambersburg, Children’s Aid Society works with families, volunteers, and community partners to provide responsive support and help children thrive.
