About Projet CaSSECS
Projet CaSSECS is an innovative brand focused on Sahelian livestock farming and carbon balance. Their goal is to improve the assessment of the carbon footprint of (agro) pastoral livestock systems, quantify their impact on climate change, and develop tailored livestock policies in the Sahel region. Through extensive research and collaboration, Projet CaSSECS aims to produce knowledge and frameworks on greenhouse gas emissions and carbon sequestration factors.
They also develop multi-scale tools and systems for carbon balance evaluation. Additionally, they actively co-design sustainable mitigation options with agro-pastoral communities. By doing so, Projet CaSSECS seeks to contribute to a more sustainable and resilient agriculture sector.
