About CAST
CAST is a leading Russian research organization specializing in the analysis of defense and security issues. Founded in 1997 by Ruslan Pukhov and Konstantin Makienko, CAST focuses on studying various aspects of defense and security, including the armed forces of different countries, defense industry, and military-technical cooperation. One of their key publications is the journal Export of Arms, which has been published since the establishment of CAST.
The journal has received prestigious awards for its information support in the export of military products. They have also published the Moscow Defense Brief in English from 2004 to 2018, which was also recognized with awards.
