The Associazione Castrum Tabernarum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of the Castello di Taverne, located atop Monte Bario. Through community engagement, the association aims to enhance local identity and foster a sense of belonging among residents. Its primary mission involves safeguarding the surrounding area, which still features remnants of ancient walls, and revitalizing the castle’s image through various initiatives.
The association organizes events such as "Incontri sul Medioevo," led by archaeologist Christiane De Micheli, to deepen knowledge of medieval history and archaeology. Additionally, projects are underway to improve access to the castle site, including restoring paths and enhancing safety, developed by Palladino Architetti SA. These efforts are designed to encourage outdoor activities, especially for schoolchildren, fostering a deeper connection with the area's rich history. The association is actively seeking support from the community, inviting individuals to contribute and become members to help sustain its vital projects.
