Catholic Steps

Catholic Steps is a Catholic twelve-step fellowship offering a sacramental path toward freedom from attachments. Rooted in the life and teachings of the Church, it invites members to seek change through the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, with the Eucharist at the center of its approach. The fellowship’s adaptable program focuses on one attachment at a time and guides participants through admitting the problem, building faith, taking responsibility, making amends, surrendering the attachment to God, receiving sacramental confession and the Eucharist, and growing in communion with the Church.

Its resources include a customizable step sequence and a detailed meeting liturgy intended to guide chairs and members through group gatherings. Meetings emphasize personal sharing, confidentiality, mutual support, prayer, and a shared commitment to helping one another pursue freedom. Catholic Steps also provides practical guidance for preparing and conducting meetings, including suggested roles, timekeeping, and group principles.

Its stated mission is to make Catholics of all nations and carry its message to those who are still suffering
