Cathy’s Place of Charlotte County is an emerging recovery community organization dedicated to supporting people affected by substance use and strengthening the local recovery community. Inspired by Cathy, a woman in recovery who championed peer support, advocacy, and stigma reduction, the organization carries forward her commitment to helping people and families find hope and connection. Its vision is a community where every recovery journey is met with compassion, practical resources, and family support.

The organization aims to serve as a trusted partner by mobilizing community resources, building social connections, and linking people with help. Its planned services include free Narcan distribution, peer support from people with lived experience, harm-reduction outreach, jail re-entry assistance, housing advocacy, health and wellness support, family support, and connections to other resources. As a recovery community organization, it also reflects a broader role in recovery-focused education, outreach, and advocacy. Cathy’s Place invites community support through donations to help develop these services and expand resources for Charlotte County residents.
