The Living Memory project preserves Vietnam’s national history through stories shared by eyewitnesses and communities. Established under Project 20-ĐA/TWĐTN-CTĐ of the Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, it provides a public platform for collecting, exploring, and honoring accounts of people and events that have shaped the country.

Visitors can browse a library of historical stories, organized around topics such as armed forces heroes, veterans, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and direct witnesses to major events. The site also features historical figures, commemorations, and a memory map that highlights stories by province, helping users discover local contributions and landmarks. Readers can explore accounts connected to significant periods, including the 1945–1954 resistance, the 1975 Spring Victory, and other milestones.

Community members are invited to submit their own stories, while the platform recognizes contributors and people honored in its collection. With more than 1.3 million stories, over 214,000 witnesses, and contributions from organizations across 34 provinces and cities, the project aims to keep historical memories accessible and alive for future generations.
