Piémont Causses & Cévennes is a cooperative wine organization formed in 2024 through the union of two historic cellars: Saint-Maurice in the Gard and Castelbarry in Montpeyroux, Hérault. Together, they bring the character of two complementary southern French wine regions to a broad range of wines, while maintaining the distinct identities of their communities and growers.
The organization represents nearly 2,300 hectares of vineyards across 60 communes. Its wines include IGP Cévennes and IGP Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, as well as appellations such as AOP Languedoc, AOC Montpeyroux and AOP Terrasses du Larzac. Saint-Maurice contributes diverse terroirs and expertise in IGP wines, while Castelbarry is especially experienced in Languedoc appellations.
Sustainability and cooperation are central to the group’s approach. Nearly 30% of its vineyards are farmed organically, and more than 80% are engaged in a responsible-practice program. The organization offers its wines through its boutiques and online shop, and is committed to supporting growers, local territories and environmental stewardship.
