About Community Bankers Association of Ohio
The Community Bankers Association of Ohio (CBAO) is an organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening independent community banks across Ohio. Organized to maintain an informed network of these institutions, CBAO has served the industry since 1974 and provides a hub for connection, education, advocacy, and practical resources. Its membership brings together community banks focused on serving and improving their local communities.
CBAO offers more than 800 annual training opportunities through CBAO University, along with conferences, schools, networking events, and social activities. Its programs cover topics including payments, fraud prevention, bank supervision, and compliance. The association also communicates with state and federal regulators and keeps members informed about legislative and regulatory developments. Members can access Ohio-specific compensation and benefits survey data, industry news through The Ohio Community Banker, and information to help connect the public with community banks. CBAO additionally operates a service corporation and provides advertising opportunities and access to a training room.
