The California Building Industry Association (CBIA) is a statewide trade association based in Sacramento that represents thousands of member companies in the homebuilding, multi-family, and mixed-use development markets. Their mission is to support intelligent and constructive policies that enhance the construction industry while fighting against efforts that hinder its economic benefits. CBIA has been successful in defeating costly housing mandates, reducing energy efficiency standards costs, and advocating for a school construction bond.

Moving forward, CBIA aims to advocate for logical CEQA reform and regulatory relief to further stimulate California's economic growth. With a history dating back to 1943, CBIA has evolved into a full-service state-level association with multiple departments, a political action committee, and subsidiary organizations.
