About CentralBankofLiberia
The Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) is an institution established in 1999 to ensure price stability in the Liberian economy. The bank aims to maintain the value of the national currency and external reserves, promote a sound banking and financial system, and contribute to sustainable economic development. The CBL achieves these objectives by implementing appropriate interest and exchange rate policies, safeguarding the integrity of the financial sector, issuing notes and coins, and conducting economic analysis.
Additionally, they publish economic and financial statistics, advise the government on economic matters, and support the development of financial markets and payment systems. The bank's powers are vested in a Board of Governors and managed by an Executive Governor and two Deputy Governors.
