Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club is a member-based yacht club in San Pedro, California, serving the waters of Southern California. Established in 1932 amid growing enthusiasm for small-boat racing following the Los Angeles Olympic Games, the club was selected to host the small-boat events of the 1933 Midwinter Regatta. It has continued hosting the regatta annually, reflecting its longstanding commitment to yacht racing.
The club’s activities include racing, cruising and junior sailing. Its programs feature junior sailing opportunities, high school sailing, an Optimist race team, summer sailing and a Wet Wednesday racing series. Members can also take part in organized cruises, regattas and a year-round calendar of social events. Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club hosts local, national and international regattas and welcomes community activities such as LA Fleet Week and SailGP.
The clubhouse offers a dining room and outdoor patio overlooking the marina, with daily and signature menus. Prospective members and visitors are invited to meet club members and learn about its activities.
