About Caucasus and Central Asia Association of IB World Schools
CCAAIBWS is the Caucasus and Central Asia Association of IB World Schools, a dynamic and thriving organization committed to continuous improvement, collaboration, and the development of the International Baccalaureate (IB) ethos and its programs.
Established in December 2021 by The European Azerbaijan School, The Tbilisi European School, and The Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Nur-Sultan, CCAAIBWS has quickly gained momentum. The association now boasts a total of 18 members, including 17000 IB students and 1500 IB educators.
One of CCAAIBWS's primary goals is to provide assistance and support to IB candidate and IB world schools, particularly in the Caucasus and Central Asia region. They also seek to promote the IB programs in the area and represent IB World Schools at meetings with organizations and authorities.
Through collaborations with other Associations of IB World Schools, CCAAIBWS aims to fulfill the shared vision of supporting professional development, conducting research on the benefits of the IB programs, and promoting special recognition of the programs by Ministries of Education and universities in the region.
Education is at the core of CCAAIBWS's mission, as they believe it is the most powerful weapon to change the world, as quoted by Nelson Mandela.
