The Centre for Climate Action, Innovation and Engagement (CCAIE) is an African climate-readiness institution focused on tracking public climate action and assessing whether it protects communities exposed to climate risk. Its work centres on the Climate Action Index, which examines all 36 Nigerian states and the Federal Capital Territory. The Index follows public evidence across responsibilities, legal authority, funding, delivery and reported results, showing where information is available and where it remains incomplete.

CCAIE has reviewed thousands of fiscal records and highlights a significant gap between tracking government plans and spending and establishing whether actions reach low-income communities or improve outcomes. The organisation also undertakes community outreach, including Rising Voices activities and climate-readiness events. It works with public institutions, funders, researchers and communities to strengthen evidence and engagement.
