About Caribbean Collaborative Action Network
CCAN, the Climate Change Adaptation Network, is a regional knowledge-action network comprising researchers and stakeholders dedicated to climate adaptation. From community to regional networks, CCAN focuses on building resilience in coastal and high elevation areas near water bodies. They partner with state/local governments, research institutions, scientists, and non-profits to integrate climate science into governance systems. Their initiatives include assessing tools for decision-making on natural hazard risks, planning adaptation scenarios, studying extreme heat effects, and managing water resources.
CCAN's team is a multidisciplinary group based in the Caribbean, collaborating with universities, agencies, and NGOs to address climate change issues. They provide technical expertise, evaluate needs, and co-produce adaptation strategies. Through partnerships and stakeholder engagement in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, CCAN is actively working to enhance climate resilience. Join the CCAN network to access their resources, research, and educational initiatives.
