We are a nonprofit social finance clinic. Incorporated in January 2024 we bring over 25 years in nonprofit accounting management and community finances! We offer professional services such as tax filing, bookkeeping and accounting management as well as training, supervision and management services to the public. As of spring 2026 we will also be offering support services to members of the community unable to access our paid services due to intersecting identity and economic barriers. Our strengths are working with individuals, groups and businesses that need support in their fiscal, finance or accounting management. Whether you are setting up a new business and wondering about what systems you'll need to track your finances or you're recovering from a backlog or another administration set backs, creating a budget or have questions about planning your financial plan, taking financial decisions, or just want us to present your Financial Statements at your AGM, we tailor our services to your needs. We value relevant cross sector partnerships and work in collaboration with other community groups, professional orders, foundations and other professionals committed to the economic & employment well-being of all underserved 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. Reach out to us if you'd like to work with us! CCBI is grateful to exist on the unceded island of Tiohtià:ke which, stewarded by the Kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawk) Nation, has historically been a vital gathering and exchange site for many Indigenous peoples, including the Huron/Wendat, Abenaki, and Anishinaabeg (Algonquin).

About ICRC
Community Capacity Building Initiative (CCBI) is a nonprofit social enterprise focused on holistic socioeconomic wellness. It brings together professional financial support, capacity building and collaboration to help individuals and communities address financial and economic challenges. CCBI operates as a tax and accounting firm, offering professional, affordable tax preparation, bookkeeping, accounting, training and management services. Its clients include individuals, entrepreneurs, artists, families, community groups, small businesses, nonprofits, charities and cooperatives.
CCBI also emphasizes collective action, seeking partnerships with organizations, professionals and community members across sectors. Its team is Xero Certified, with training in cloud-based accounting best practices, and provides accounting support whether clients use Xero, another system or no accounting software.
The initiative plans to launch free and low-cost economic empowerment programming and support services in summer 2026 for low-income 2SLGBTQ+ communities, with the aim of improving access to financial support. CCBI is also fundraising for a Community Economic Wellness Clinic scheduled to launch that summer, extending its commitment to accessible community-focused financial services.
