Community Connect Center (CCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving newcomers and low-income families in Fargo-Moorhead. Founded in 2015 by South Sudanese refugees, and formerly known as the South Sudanese Foundation, the organization grew from firsthand understanding of the challenges of resettlement. It now supports New Americans from diverse backgrounds, with particular experience serving people from East Africa, and works to foster inclusion, belonging, and stronger connections across communities.
CCC helps individuals and families navigate daily life, build resilience, and pursue their goals through a range of programs and practical services. Offerings include after-school and summer programs, youth services, workforce development, and a Workforce Accelerator Program. The center also provides newcomer resources, housing assistance, transportation services, a food pantry, interpretation and translation, and support related to deportation concerns. Its Driving Dreams Forward initiative is among the programs featured on its website.
Community members can engage through volunteering, donations, and events. Based in Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead, Minnesota, CCC welcomes both newcomers and longtime residents, connecting people with resources and opportunities to contribute to an inclusive local community.
