CCG

The Confederação dos Criadores de Guppy do Brasil (CCG) is a Brazilian organization dedicated to promoting the keeping and breeding of guppies (Poecilia reticulata). Founded in 1997, it supports good breeding practices and encourages breeders to develop fish according to the CCG’s ideal morphological standards, based on criteria from the International Fancy Guppy Association. Its educational resources cover guppy care, management, and selective breeding, serving both beginners and experienced enthusiasts.

Through affiliated clubs, regional gatherings, online meetings, and its website, the CCG connects breeders and hobbyists across Brazil and promotes the exchange of knowledge and breeding stock. It sponsors competitive shows and championships featuring more than 50 classes for color and fin shape, with entries judged against technical standards. Events may also include auctions of selected fish, offering opportunities to strengthen breeding lines. The organization provides technical seminars and judge training, and recognizes members through event awards, national rankings, and titles such as Master Breeder.
