About CCGM
The Commission for the Geological Map of the World (CCGM) was founded in 1913 at the 12th International Geological Congress in Toronto. This international non-profit organization, based in France, focuses on designing, coordinating, preparing, and publishing small-scale geoscience maps of the Earth, continents, oceans, and major regions worldwide. Affiliated with the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) and the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG), CCGM is supported by UNESCO for some of its publications.
The membership offers access to a global geological information database, technical expertise, and networking opportunities at international events. Additionally, members can showcase their work on the CCGM website to gain online visibility. Explore their popular products like geological maps, digital products, and relief globes to understand the Earth better.
