CCI-UGANDA

Children’s Chance International (CCI-Uganda) is a nonprofit organization established in April 2008 and based in Lira, Northern Uganda. It works with vulnerable children, youth, women, persons with disabilities, and farming communities, particularly in the region’s post-conflict areas. CCI-Uganda’s mission is to help build healthy, inclusive communities through empowerment and collaboration with government, development organizations, and other stakeholders.

Its programs focus on child rights and social protection, education, health, and sustainable livelihoods. Services and activities include support for children’s education and psychosocial wellbeing, child protection and violence prevention, HIV/AIDS awareness, testing and counseling, nutrition, and community health. The organization also helps young people develop leadership, entrepreneurship, vocational, and life skills, while supporting women’s economic empowerment, health education, gender equality, and menstrual hygiene. For farmers, it provides agricultural training and support for food security and income generation; projects include beekeeping. CCI-Uganda promotes inclusion by offering skills development, health support, and opportunities for people with disabilities. Individuals can contribute by volunteering or donating to its programs.
