The Czech Red Cross Frýdek-Místek Area Association is a local branch of the Czech Red Cross, a humanitarian organization working to protect health and life and relieve human suffering. Guided by principles including humanity, impartiality, neutrality and voluntary service, the association supports people in need through health, social and educational activities.

Its qualified medical staff provide first-aid assistance at sporting, cultural and community events, helping monitor safety and respond to injuries or sudden health problems. The association also offers first-aid courses and training for the public, schools and businesses. It lends and sells assistive equipment for people who need support temporarily or over the longer term, and runs a social clothing centre providing clothes, shoes, textiles and other essentials. It promotes unpaid blood donation and recognizes donors, and leads a Young Health Workers club. Volunteers can get involved in first-aid education, event medical support and the humanitarian unit, with training opportunities available. Based in Frýdek-Místek, the association welcomes new members and donations of clothing to support its community work.
