About Centro Cultural de Música
CC de Música, also known as Centro Cultural de Música, is a renowned and prestigious brand in the field of classical music in Uruguay. Established in 1942 by a group of young Uruguayan musicians and music enthusiasts, this non-profit private organization has been dedicated to promoting and performing classical music in all its forms. CC de Música takes pride in its annual season of eight concerts, showcasing exceptional artists from around the world.
These concerts feature symphonic or chamber orchestras, ballets, vocal and instrumental ensembles, trios, quartets, soloists, and choirs. The performances take place in Montevideo's finest concert halls, such as Teatro Solís or Auditorio Nacional del Sodre. In addition to its subscription series, CC de Música is committed to nurturing young Uruguayan musicians.
The brand provides scholarships, organizes masterclasses, workshops, and conferences with world-class visiting artists, and serves as the institutional partner for Uruguay of the Online Masterclasses of Maxim Vengerov. Furthermore, CC de Música actively engages in community outreach programs to make classical music accessible and enjoyable to young audiences. For the past fifteen years, the brand has been offering free midday concerts at Teatro Solís for students and the general public.
With almost eight decades of commitment and devotion, CC de Música continues to be a leading presence in Uruguay's cultural landscape
