About CCODP
Central Coast Overdose Prevention (CCODP) is a nonprofit coalition working to reduce opioid overdose and substance-related harms across Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties in California. Guided by the lived experiences of people affected by addiction, the organization promotes compassionate, nonjudgmental support and aims to make care easier to access. Its vision is of healthier communities where individuals and families can find evidence-based harm reduction, treatment options, and strong community support.
CCODP works through education, prevention, and outreach. Its educational resources explain substance use disorder and treatment options, share overdose news and data, and help people learn how to prevent or respond to an overdose. The organization also connects community members with naloxone and other lifesaving resources, local treatment options, and community services. Through direct engagement, provider partnerships, and volunteer opportunities, CCODP supports informed health choices and strengthens regional connections. Its website offers printable materials, resource portals, xylazine information, and updates on local initiatives.
