Communauté de Communes Thiers Dore et Montagne

Thiers Dore et Montagne (TDM) is a community of communes in the east of France’s Puy-de-Dôme department, within the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Created on 1 January 2017 through the merger of four former intercommunal areas, it brings together 30 communes and around 38,540 residents across 624 square kilometres. TDM works to strengthen the area’s appeal and support residents’ everyday lives through a broad range of public services, facilities and community events.

Its responsibilities include economic development and support for business creation, housing and urban planning, culture, education, childcare and youth services, health and social support, and tourism. The community also coordinates waste collection and reduction, water and sanitation services, environmental education, and initiatives related to climate, forests and agriculture. Residents and visitors can access leisure facilities, including three recreation bases, walking routes and a community aquatic centre, as well as cultural programmes and local events.

TDM also provides practical information and services for businesses, families, seniors and tourists
