CDC Biodiversité conçoit et développe des solutions concrètes favorables à la restauration et la préservation de la biodiversité. Conseiller, mesurer, renaturer et former sont ses 4 axes d'activités. Elle accompagne les acteurs économiques publics et privés pour répondre à leurs obligations réglementaires (séquence Éviter Réduire Compenser), et ceux qui souhaitent s'engager volontairement en mesurant leur empreinte biodiversité ou en soutenant des réalisations concrètes d'adaptation des territoires au changement climatique. Les actions mises en œuvre par CDC Biodiversité relèvent toutes de solutions fondées sur la nature, SfN. Pour la compensation écologique après évitement et réduction des projets, CDC Biodiversité tient les engagements de long terme des aménageurs. Avec le programme Nature 2050, CDC Biodiversité agit avec ses partenaires pour l'adaptation des territoires aux changements climatiques. Via la Mission économie de la biodiversité (MEB) qu'elle pilote, CDC Biodiversité réfléchit, imagine et propose des solutions et outils innovants avec l'objectif de réduire l'érosion de la biodiversité. Ainsi, CDC Biodiversité a créé le Global Biodiversity Score (GBS), un outil de mesure d'empreinte biodiversité des entreprises, des institutions financières, et bientôt des collectivités.
