Cementerio de Disidentes de Rosario is a historic cemetery and cultural site in Rosario, Argentina, managed by the Civil Association Cementerio de Disidentes. Founded by representatives of St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church and the German Evangelical Congregation, the association works to preserve and administer the grounds for the public good.
The cemetery opened in 1860 and moved to its present location at Avellaneda 1850 in 1887. Today, it offers burial services, plots with different features, spaces for cremated remains, and personalized assistance with transfers, paperwork, payments, plot sales, and maintenance. A chapel is available for brief farewell ceremonies, while a landscaped park and tranquil gazebo provide spaces for reflection.
The grounds also form a cultural heritage site, with sculptures and the graves of notable figures, including six North American teachers who came to Argentina at Sarmiento’s invitation. The association offers guided historical visits, particularly for educational institutions, exploring the cemetery’s connections to Rosario’s history and the people who helped shape the city and region
