About Climate and Development Knowledge Network
The Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) is an organization that collaborates with the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) and the Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) to provide valuable insights on resilience and development at the community level. They have recently released a synthesis publication called Voices from the Frontline, which showcases inspiring stories of communities that have forged and strengthened resilience in the face of multiple shocks and stresses, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. These stories demonstrate how communities have self-organized and utilized existing social networks and resources to navigate these challenging times.
The CDKN and ICCCAD hope that their colorful synthesis report, Voices from the Frontline of Covid-19: What can we learn about achieving the SDGs at community level?, will deepen understanding and inform local and national governments, NGOs, community-based organizations, and researchers about the importance of community-level resilience. The report's insights and recommendations aim to improve collective responses to future shocks and contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as poverty reduction, food security, health and wellbeing, gender equality, climate action, and partnerships
