Centrum pre deti a rodiny Dedina Mládeže

Centrum pre deti a rodiny Hurbanovo is a Slovak child and family care centre dedicated to helping children grow in a safe, supportive environment. It focuses particularly on children with disabilities who need nursing and personal care, including children with mental health conditions. The centre also provides care for children without disabilities in separately organised groups and supports young adults.

Alongside residential care, the centre offers ambulatory and field-based assistance to families. Its work with families aims to create safe, healthy and encouraging home environments, helping children remain with or return to their biological families whenever possible. The centre prepares children for independent life and seeks to provide a family-like setting tailored to their needs.

Its history as a children’s home dates to 1966, with a transition to a family-style model between 2005 and 2007 and specialised groups introduced from 2008. The centre welcomes support through financial or material donations, contributions of two percent of income tax, and volunteering.
