Chicago Dental Society

The Chicago Dental Society (CDS) is a professional organization serving dentists and the wider oral health community in the Chicago area. For more than 160 years, it has promoted the art and science of dentistry through education, professional connection, advocacy, and community engagement. As one of the largest local dental societies in the United States, CDS supports members at every career stage and works to advance oral health awareness.

Its programs include the annual Midwinter Meeting, a major continuing education event with expert speakers, an exhibit hall featuring dental innovations, and networking activities. Regional and branch meetings provide additional learning and opportunities to connect with colleagues across Cook, Lake, and DuPage counties. CDS also offers member benefits, business partner programs, political advocacy, career and practice listings, early-career resources, student resources, and volunteer and leadership opportunities. Members can access tools and guidance to support professional development and practice success. Through its branches, educational events, public resources, and foundation, the Chicago Dental Society brings dental professionals together and contributes to the communities they serve.
