About Centre for Behavioural Change and Public Enlightenment
Welcome to the Centre for Behavioural Change and Public Enlightenment (CEBECPEN), located in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Established in 2007 as the Believers Youth Network, our organization was founded to address the challenges faced by young people in rural communities. Over the years, we have evolved into CEBECPEN, a non-governmental and non-religious social enterprise dedicated to providing comprehensive Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) solutions.
Our core objective is to transform the lives of youths in rural, semi-urban, and urban communities by offering a range of services and programs. Through education, empowerment, counseling, mentorship, evidence-based research, and rehabilitation, we aim to bring about positive change in multiple areas such as health and well-being, poverty reduction, and gender-based violence prevention. At CEBECPEN, we also contribute to Nigeria's SBC policy development and implementation.
Our team of experts, including Mr. Opde Emmanuel (Founder), Mr. Nwabia Paulinus (Vice President), and other dedicated professionals, work tirelessly to ensure lasting societal impacts.
