About CECIMO
CECIMO is an umbrella organization dedicated to promoting the common interests and values of European manufacturing technologies. With over seven decades of experience, CECIMO has been instrumental in shaping the strategy and enhancing the global competitiveness of European machine tool and additive manufacturing sectors. By working tirelessly at both EU and global levels, CECIMO ensures that the European machine tools and additive technologies thrive in a rapidly changing industry.
The organization focuses on key areas such as globalisation, sustainability, market surveillance, lack of skilled labor force, and long-term industrial strategy. CECIMO brings together 15 national associations of machine tool builders, representing approximately 1500 industrial enterprises in Europe, including the EU, UK, EFTA, and Türkiye. With a primary focus on machine tools and additive manufacturing, CECIMO covers 97% of the total machine tool production in Europe and about 1/3 worldwide.
With a turnover of around 25. 1 billion euros in 2022 and approximately 150,000 employees, CECIMO plays a pivotal role in driving innovation, proper financing, and good supply chains to maintain the prominent position of the European manufacturing industry
