Cecosesola

Cecosesola is a nonprofit network of more than 50 community organizations in Lara, Venezuela, working together to meet shared community needs. Its activities include funeral services, food supply, agricultural production, health services, self-financing, and community production units. The network describes its work as self-managed and grounded in collective participation, ongoing reflection, and mutual care.

Rather than relying on chains of command, Cecosesola emphasizes rotating tasks, shared responsibility, equity, and respect for ideological diversity. Its approach aims to strengthen trust, deepen ethical relationships, and expand a sense of community while building financial autonomy. The organization also encourages learning through experience and regularly questions how its members relate to one another and solve common challenges.

Through its services and community organization, Cecosesola connects practical support with a broader effort to create more participatory ways of living and working together. Based in Barquisimeto, it shares news, reflections, and accounts of its community experiences through its website.
