About Centre Cyprien et Daphrose Rugamba
CECYDAR is a non-profit organization in Rwanda, established in 1992 by the inspiring couple Cyprien and Daphrose Rugamba. The organization's mission is to address the challenging conditions faced by street children and provide them with the care and opportunities they deserve. CECYDAR runs various programs focused on welcoming boys and girls aged 7 to 15 for a period of 3 to 6 months, with the goal of reintegrating them sustainably into their families and schools.
Their approach includes crucial steps such as welcoming sessions, rehabilitation work, and ultimately reintegrating the children back into their families and schools with ongoing support. CECYDAR's impact is evident, with numerous houses built for families, families strengthened, and a significant number of children successfully reintegrated.
