About CEDMO
CEDMO, the Central European Digital Media Observatory, is an independent non-partisan multidisciplinary hub. Their aim is to identify, research, and prioritize the most critical sources and causes of information disorders in Central Europe, with a focus on the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. As an international consortium, CEDMO proposes short and longer-term actions, along with recommendations to help civil society, public institutions, and the private sector respond to declining trust in key institutions.
Their goal is to help society resist the increasing exposure to mis- and disinformation. By partnering with the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) and other regional EDMO hubs in the EU, CEDMO contributes to curbing threats posed by information disorders and building resilience within communities and nations. They also offer fact-checking briefs, research studies, resources, and tools to promote media literacy and combat information disorders.
