P Cedotal Genealogy

Faron P. Cedotal Genealogical Research LLC is a Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based genealogy research and publishing business focused on Acadian, Louisiana, Sicilian, and African-American family histories. Led by Faron P. Cedotal, the company draws on more than 35 years of research into his French-Acadian family and over 25 years researching his wife’s Sicilian family. Cedotal is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the National Genealogical Society, and has completed genealogical training in family research, historical records, and French-language research.

The business offers family and ancestor research to help clients discover where relatives lived, their occupations, and other details. Findings are presented in a readable PDF report with pedigree charts, a bibliography, endnotes, and client-provided photographs; facts are sourced, and a separate chart of direct-line ancestors is included. Services also cover citizenship and naturalization research, including evidence of ancestry and an ancestor’s naturalization status and date. For specific requests, the company conducts general research at courthouses, libraries, and other research sites, including searches for information in rare books and for heirs.
