About CEE GENDER NETWORK
The Central and Eastern European Network for Gender Issues (CEE Gender Network) is a coalition dedicated to promoting the empowerment of women and achieving gender equality objectives. Established in 1994 under the European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity, the Network has a mission to integrate gender equality into the strategies of center-left political parties in Central and Eastern European countries. Through various innovative methods such as people-to-people learning and peer support, CEE Gender Network works towards equal participation of women and men in public and political life.
The Network also focuses on sharing knowledge, strengthening democracy, and enhancing societal dialogue. With a history of advocacy and capacity-building initiatives, CEE Gender Network supports women's organizations in the region and aims to harmonize national legislation with EU guidelines.
