The Centro de Estudios de Física del Cosmos de Aragón (CEFCA) is a pioneering institution established by the Government of Aragón to advance research in Astrophysics and Cosmology. Located in Teruel, CEFCA operates the Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre (OAJ), which plays a crucial role in both technological development and scientific exploration. The observatory focuses on significant celestial targets such as the dwarf planet Haumea, the Andromeda Galaxy, and the Hercules Cluster.

CEFCA's initiatives include groundbreaking projects like the J-PLUS and J-PAS, which are extensive photometric surveys aiming to deepen our understanding of the universe. Additionally, the institution promotes public engagement through Galáctica, a center for astronomy education and outreach that offers hands-on experiences with telescopes and various astronomical activities. With a commitment to fostering scientific knowledge and community interaction, CEFCA is at the forefront of astronomical research and education in Spain, contributing valuable insights into the cosmos while empowering the public through science.
