CEFIAL-UE, the Centre for Studies, Training and Information on Latin America–European Union, is an organization founded in Milan, Italy, in 2008. It works to strengthen relations between Europe and Latin America through birregional cooperation, analysis and public culture. Its activities encourage dialogue between the two regions and support the exchange of ideas, perspectives and information, with the aim of raising awareness and helping develop shared projects.
A notable part of its work is its involvement in the Euro-Latin American Women’s Forum within the EuroLat Parliamentary Assembly of the European Parliament. CEFIAL-UE coordinated the forum for two legislative terms, contributing to discussion of issues including the gender pay gap and inequalities in the labour market. The forum also promotes stronger ties between Europe and Latin America.
The organization provides studies, training and information, and shares its work through publications and articles. Its publications include Panorámica Latinoamericana, while its Euro-Latin American dialogue initiatives offer a platform for exploring ideas and encouraging cooperation. CEFIAL-UE also maintains a presence on social media.
