La Mariquita is a private early childhood education centre in central Málaga, welcoming children from four months to three years old. Open since 2011, it describes itself as a close-knit community built on affection, respect and attentive care. Its educational approach uses active pedagogies, guiding children through playful, hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, independence and learning at each child’s pace. Yearly projects are adapted to children’s ages and groups, supporting social relationships, movement, language, coordination and emotional development through activities such as play installations and sensory exploration.

The centre offers English classes taught by native-speaking teachers, introducing the language from an early age. Its services also include freshly prepared, balanced meals from an on-site kitchen, made under paediatric and health supervision, and a monthly family session with a psychologist. In July and August, La Mariquita runs summer camps for children up to five years old. Activities include excursions, sensory stimulation, psychomotor development and oral expression.
