CEKOM is the Center of Competence for Advanced Engineering, located in Nova Gradiška. They specialize in the implementation of Advanced Engineering, Automation, Robotics, and New Materials, which are Key Enabling Technologies (KET) along with ICT. This provides them with a strong technological foundation and key sources of innovation. The project aims to enhance the economic development and business competitiveness in the eastern region of Croatia.

The center is financed by the European Regional Development Fund and has a total project value of 119,203,236.94 HRK. The project duration is from July 1, 2020, to January 1, 2025. CEKOM collaborates with 7 partners, including Nova Gradiška Industrial Park, Migautomatika, Klimaoprema, Inin, Hladni Val, Altpro, and Slavonski Brod Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Their mission is to conduct research and development projects to improve the industrial sectors of Nova Gradiška and the region, as well as their business competitiveness. CEKOM's vision is to contribute to the regional innovation system by providing advanced engineering R&D infrastructure and services that support investment and commercialization of research results.

In addition to their main projects, CEKOM also offers business opportunities in technologies such as 3D printing, reverse engineering, and high-speed machining. They have established a collaborative network of stakeholders with infrastructure, services, and a partner network to support future activities. Through the implementation of 7 collaborative R&D projects, they aim to develop and commercialize innovative products, increase private sector investments, and foster the establishment of new technology-oriented companies.
