About Celinaxchien
Celina Chien is an artist and storyteller who combines her roles as an ecologist, award-winning photojournalist, and actor to create impactful narratives. With a background in science and a deep connection to nature, Celina uses her art to extend empathy beyond our own species and advocate for biodiversity in the Anthropocene. Celina's work spans various mediums, including photography, acting, and environmental activism.
Her photography has been recognized internationally, with her being a highly commended finalist in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Celina is a TEDx speaker, a member of conservation organizations such as Panthera's Conservation Council and Reserva Youth Land Trust, and an advisory board member of Rewriting Extinction. Passionate about empowering others, Celina is an ambassador for Girls Who Click, an organization that empowers girls in nature photography.
She has also collaborated with various conservation programs and NGOs, such as the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme and Rainforest Action Network. Through her work, Celina Chien captivates audiences, fosters empathy, and advocates for environmental and social justice
