Cellule Verte Haute-Savoie is a citizen-led association focused on supporting sustainable development across the Haute-Savoie region. Its members bring together experiences and ideas, with the belief that individual actions can contribute to wider social change and that sustainability should be part of everyday life.
The association offers activities and resources that encourage practical, responsible choices. Its “GECA Le Faire” workshops create space for participants to exchange experiences, discuss changes they would like to make, and explore both the benefits and challenges of adopting more ethical, environmentally considerate habits. The association has also developed educational initiatives on air quality, including the 2015–2016 Cycle de l’Air, which featured conferences and round-table workshops, alongside the online documentary “Atmosphère pour changer d’air !”
For local authorities, its Sustainable Development Guide for Haute-Savoie municipalities highlights projects and achievements, supports peer-to-peer learning, and encourages the sharing of innovative practices. The association also ran the Eco-Conso74 network, connecting consumers with providers of more sustainable goods and services; this network ended in December 2022.
