About CEMETRA
CEMETRA is a nonprofit occupational medicine centre based in Sines, Portugal, founded in January 1976. It supports member companies and their workers through services focused on health, workplace conditions, hygiene and compliance with applicable requirements. Its work spans occupational medicine, curative care, workplace accidents, safety and hygiene, food safety, and training.
Occupational health services include workplace visits, admission, periodic and occasional medical examinations, diagnostic tests, drug and alcohol screening, and nursing care such as vaccinations, injections, wound dressings and blood pressure checks. CEMETRA also provides care for people injured in workplace accidents and curative medical services for its users.
Its specialist technical team offers workplace safety and hygiene consultancy, helping organisations address legal obligations, alongside support in food hygiene and safety. CEMETRA provides a broad training programme, is certified by DGERT, and can assess companies’ training needs. Through its facilities and technical and human resources, the association aims to deliver quality services to its members and the wider community it serves.
