Center for Children, Inc. is a Maryland nonprofit dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse and promoting positive mental and behavioral health. Serving children and families across Southern Maryland and surrounding counties, the organization provides crisis intervention, therapy, education, and a broad range of family support programs. Its licensed outpatient clinic serves more than 4,500 people each year in Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Howard, Prince George’s, and St. Mary’s counties.
Professional clinicians offer individual, family, group, and play therapy, along with psychological testing, child assessments, and mental health evaluations. Programs include the Child Advocacy Center, case management, adolescent substance abuse services, Functional Family Therapy, in-school therapy, psychiatric rehabilitation, supervised visitation, and court-appointed advocacy through CASA. The organization also provides co-parenting and divorce education, mentoring, prevention initiatives, community education, and professional training and consultation.
Center for Children offers telehealth services for children and teens and welcomes new clients at its locations.
