About CKHA
Central Kentucky Hockey Association (CKHA) is the premier organization for youth ice hockey in Lexington, Kentucky, and the greater Central Kentucky region. As the parent organization of the Lexington Thoroughbreds youth ice hockey teams, CKHA offers a range of programs and services to cater to players of all ages and skill levels. CKHA follows the USA Hockey American Development Model (ADM) to provide the best training and development opportunities for young hockey players.
From learn-to-play programs to house league hockey, select tournament teams, and travel hockey, CKHA offers a comprehensive pathway for players to progress and excel in the sport. In addition to their on-ice programs, CKHA also provides resources and support for parents, coaches, and team managers. They offer equipment rental services, Summer Dryland Conditioning, and even host special events like the annual UK & CKHA Hockey Tailgate.
